Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Unclassifiable (MPNU)
Overview
Myeloproliferative Neoplasms, Unclassifiable (MPNU) is an OncoTree subtype under MPN for MPN cases that do not meet diagnostic criteria for ET, PV, or primary myelofibrosis. These cases can carry the same driver mutations (JAK2, CALR, MPL) as other MPNs.
Cohorts in the corpus
- mpn_cimr_2013 — 2 unclassifiable MPN patients included in the 151-patient whole-exome sequencing cohort. PMID:24325359
Recurrent alterations
- 2 unclassifiable MPN patients were included in the CALR discovery cohort; CALR, JAK2, and MPL mutations were assessed across all 151 patients (48 PV, 62 ET, 39 MF, 2 MPNU) with 97% carrying one of these three drivers in mutually exclusive fashion. PMID:24325359
Subtypes
- By definition, cannot be classified as ET, PV, or PMF.
