Mature T and NK Neoplasms (MTNN)

Overview

Mature T and NK Neoplasms (MTNN) is an OncoTree grouping under Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) for mature T-cell and natural killer cell neoplasms. Note: In the 24326773 corpus reference, MTNN is used for medullary thyroid carcinoma cases (3 patients classified with thyroid NEN, code MTNN). In OncoTree, medullary thyroid carcinoma has its own code (MTC), but MTNN as listed in oncotree.json corresponds to Mature T and NK Neoplasms. This page reflects the canonical OncoTree definition.

Cohorts in the corpus

  • pog570_bcgsc_2020 — 3 thyroid (medullary) NEN patients within 28-patient metastatic NEN WGTA cohort; labeled MTNN in the paper-compiler output. PMID:24326773

Recurrent alterations

  • Activating RET mutations were found in all 3 medullary thyroid carcinoma cases in the POG metastatic NEN cohort, supporting RET-directed therapy (vandetanib, selpercatinib/LOXO-292, cabozantinib). These cases formed transcriptome Cluster C. Median TMB 2.19 mut/Mb across the 28-patient NEN cohort. PMID:24326773

Subtypes

  • No subtypes defined in the current corpus for this entity.

Therapeutic landscape

  • RET-directed therapies (vandetanib, selpercatinib, sorafenib, cabozantinib) guided by activating RET mutations in medullary thyroid carcinoma cases; PN7 achieved 1,423 days stable disease on selpercatinib; PN8 partial response 164 days on cabozantinib. PMID:24326773
