FGF401
Overview
FGF401 is a selective, non-covalent FGFR4 (FGFR4) inhibitor under investigation in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) enriched for FGF19 expression. Like BLU-554, FGF401 requires FGF19 protein expression (by IHC) as an enrollment biomarker, exploiting FGF19–FGFR4 axis dependence in a subset of HCCs.
Evidence in the corpus
- Cited alongside BLU-554 and H3B-6527 as an FGFR4 inhibitor requiring FGF19 IHC expression for biomarker-driven enrichment in HCC; FGF19 amplification occurs in ~5–10% of HCCs PMID:24798001.
