ALB
Overview
ALB encodes serum albumin, the major plasma protein produced by the liver. Somatic mutations in ALB are recurrently observed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), likely reflecting clonal hepatocyte evolution in the context of chronic liver disease rather than a direct oncogenic driver role.
