ARHGAP6

Overview

ARHGAP6 is a Rho GTPase-activating protein. In gastric cancer, in-frame fusions involving CLDN18 and ARHGAP6 (related to ARHGAP26) are observed in the genomically stable (GS) subtype and are mutually exclusive with RHOA mutation.

Alterations observed in the corpus

  • CLDN18-ARHGAP6 in-frame fusion present in the GS subtype of gastric adenocarcinoma; part of the broader class of CLDN18-ARHGAP rearrangements (~15% of GS tumours); mutually exclusive with RHOA mutation PMID:25079317

Cancer types (linked)

  • STAD: CLDN18-ARHGAP6 fusion in GS subtype; mutually exclusive with RHOA hotspot mutations PMID:25079317

Co-occurrence and mutual exclusivity

  • Mutually exclusive with RHOA mutation in GS gastric tumours PMID:25079317
