CDH13
Overview
CDH13 (Cadherin 13; also T-cadherin) encodes an atypical cadherin lacking a cytoplasmic domain, functioning as a cell-surface adhesion and signaling molecule. Promoter hypermethylation silencing of CDH13 is frequently reported in multiple cancer types. In pancreatic cancer, CDH13 was identified by MutSigCV whole-exome sequencing as a significantly mutated gene not previously highlighted in PDA.
