MAGEA6
Overview
MAGEA6 (Melanoma Antigen Gene A6) is a cancer/testis antigen gene belonging to the MAGE-A family. It is normally expressed in the testis and silent in somatic tissues, but aberrantly expressed in a variety of tumor types. It was identified as one of 16 significantly mutated genes in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma by ICGC whole-exome sequencing, representing a novel somatic driver in that cancer type.
