NPAS3
Overview
NPAS3 (Neuronal PAS Domain Protein 3) is a basic helix-loop-helix/PAS domain transcription factor expressed predominantly in the brain. It maps to 14q13 and has been implicated in neuropsychiatric disorders. In glioblastoma, NPAS3 has been identified as a recurrent single-gene focal deletion target, suggesting a tumor-suppressor function in GBM.
