WASF2
Overview
WASF2 (WAS protein family member 2, also known as WAVE2) encodes an actin nucleation-promoting factor that regulates the ARP2/3 complex. In the pan-cancer TCGA fusion landscape, WASF2 was identified as the 5’ partner in FGR-WASF2 fusions, where the WASF2 5’ UTR promoter drives FGR kinase overexpression in the majority of fusion-positive samples.
