AXIN2
Overview
AXIN2 (Axis Inhibition Protein 2; also Conductin) is a scaffold protein in the beta-catenin destruction complex and a negative regulator of WNT/beta-catenin signaling. Together with AXIN1 and APC, recurrent mutations in AXIN2 define a WNT-pathway alteration cluster in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, nominating tankyrase inhibitors as potential therapeutic candidates.
