CITED1
Overview
CITED1 (Cbp/p300-interacting transactivator with Glu/Asp-rich carboxy-terminal domain 1) is a transcriptional co-activator that interacts with CBP/p300. It is best characterized in melanocyte differentiation and thyroid cancer biology, but has been identified as a recurrent gene fusion partner in rare sarcomas.

Open questions
- The functional consequences of CIC-CITED1 fusion on transcriptional regulation and tumor behavior remain to be characterized.
