CyCIF (Cyclic Immunofluorescence)
Overview
CyCIF is a multiplexed cyclic immunofluorescence imaging method that enables detection of dozens of protein markers in situ using iterative rounds of staining, imaging, and signal bleaching on FFPE tissue sections PMID:39386723.
Used by
- PMID:39386723 — CyCIF with a 31-antibody panel was applied to 44 fallopian tube specimens (including HGSOC precursors: normal FTE, SCOUT, STIC, invasive HGSOC) to characterize the tumor immune microenvironment; revealed progressive immune suppression from FTE through STIC to invasive HGSOC, including increased PD-L1 expression and reduced CD8+ T cell infiltration PMID:39386723.
Notes
- Combined with GeoMx WTA spatial transcriptomics to provide complementary protein and transcriptomic spatial profiling of HGSOC precursor lesions PMID:39386723.
- Corpus-grown slug; not present in canonical ontology.
