DLK1
Overview
DLK1 (Delta Like Non-Canonical Notch Ligand 1) is a neuroendocrine expression marker and Notch-axis regulator. In small cell lung cancer (SCLC), it defines one of two transcriptional subtypes and is associated with neuroendocrine differentiation.
Alterations observed in the corpus
- Neuroendocrine and Notch-axis expression marker defining one of two SCLC transcriptional subtypes in a 110-tumour WGS cohort; expressed alongside ASCL1, CHGA, GRP, SYP, and NCAM1 PMID:26168399
- DLK1 among the most over-expressed genes in mRNA expression sub-group 1 (BMP signaling / differentiation program) of extra-cranial malignant rhabdoid tumors (40 WGS, 40 RNA-Seq), together with BMP4 and MEOX2 PMID:26977886
