IL4R
Overview
IL4R encodes the interleukin-4 receptor alpha chain. In the cbio-kb corpus it appears as a non-canonical AID off-target in classic Hodgkin lymphoma.
Alterations observed in the corpus
- In classic Hodgkin lymphoma HRS cells, IL4R showed an elevated noncoding:coding mutation ratio consistent with activation-induced cytidine deaminase (AID) off-target activity PMID:36723991.
Cancer types (linked)
- CHL — AID off-target noncoding mutation accumulation in HRS cells PMID:36723991.
Co-occurrence and mutual exclusivity
- Grouped with BCL7A, SOCS1, TMSB4X, and ITPKB as genes with elevated noncoding:coding mutation ratios in cHL PMID:36723991.
Therapeutic relevance
- None reported in the corpus.
Open questions
- Functional consequence of noncoding AID-driven IL4R lesions in cHL is not established PMID:36723991.
